Dr. Sajad Ahmadi is a dentist in Barcelona working in implant dentistry, and the designer of PEP.
The question
PEP began at the chair, with one question: why does the gum around a new implant heal round, when the tooth it replaces never was? The answers on offer all came later in the treatment — a provisional adjusted over several visits, or a custom part designed case by case. The aim was the right shape on the first day.
One form at a time
The answer came one form at a time. Every rim is cut from a real cervical cross-section. From the platform to that rim runs a single concave curve — nothing added, nothing stepped. The implant connection is never touched, the suture ports are shaped for the needle, and every file is checked for wall thickness and a watertight mesh before it joins the library.
The way of working
- Clinical first: every decision in PEP starts from what happens in the mouth.
- Honest about the status: PEP is a design in development until the evidence says more.
- Open to colleagues: clinics, labs and implant companies are welcome to test, question and improve it.
